Port placement, insufflation, inguinal hernia, pyloric stenosis
Piccolo is an infant torso trainer for surgical procedural simulation training. Piccolo features landmark anatomy, including a bony pelvis, ribs and umbilicus-, to facilitate realistic port placement. Made from Skinthetic ™ technology, the torso trainer is also airtight, meaning it can fully insufflate to replicate real-life procedural experience. The infant torso can be paired with hydrogel technology to allow for procedural training of paediatric, general and colorectal procedures. This Skinthetic ™ technology is reusable after a simple heat treatment.

Cutting edge robotic technology is continually unlocking new approaches to advance surgery. In parallel, the training methods are also undergoing similarly significant advances. Utilising a suite of advanced simulation devices and anatomically correct synthetic organs, trainees can now develop high skill levels and train for a wide range of routine and demanding emergency situations all prior to commencing live surgery. This approach maximises patient safety, and ensures that surgeons receive the advanced training necessary to extract the very best outcomes from the latest robotic devices.
